I started working in Cathriona’s in 2013 in the Castlegregory salon where I have learned everything I know from blowdrying to upstyling and colouring. Completing my Alfa Parf Colour course I realised how much there was to colouring and I love it. I have got such great opportunities working at Cathriona’s and have met so many lovely people since I started. I have worked on TV sets, the Rose of Tralee as well as weddings. I love meeting our fabulous clients and I really love going to work everyday.
I started my Apprenticeship in 2011 in Cathrionas Hair Group from there I started to show a lot of interest and took part in a lot of courses including Vidal Sassoon, SACO of London and Dylan Bradshaw to name a few. In 2013 I won an award for emerging talent in the “Best of the Best” Competition. I also took part in The Alfaparf Fantastic Hairdressing Awards where I placed in the top 10. In 2014 I completed my Colour Masters. In 2018 I was lucky enough to be placed on the Irish Hairdressing Team where we took part in the World championship and came fourth. I travelled to Australia where I worked as a hairdresser and learned a lot from my time there. In 2017 I had the opportunity to style Lucy Kennedy for the Christmas cover of RSVP magazine. During my time in Cathrionas hair salon I’ve gotten the opportunity to be part of the Rose of Tralee fashion show, Tv3 Ireland am slot and attended a photoshop with Celia Holman lee and Suzanne Jackson to name a few. Since I’ve returned home I am the Manager in Cathrionas Hair Group in Dingle and loving it.
My hairdressing career started in 2011 after finishing school. In 2013 I became certified by the World Federation of Hairdressing. Over the years I’ve worked in different salons gaining experience and skills. I’ve taken part in courses ran by Toni+Guy and Wayne Loyd. I took a break in 2016 and returned in 2018.
I’ve been working in Cathriona’s Hair Salon in Dingle for the last two years and have been continuing my professional development. I am constantly trying to upskill as a stylist so that I can bring the newest and latest trends to my clients.
